LPPC Bowling Event for Youth, Young Adults, BBGB

LPPC is organising a bowling activity for their Youth, Young Adults, as well as the KCP BB & GB companies. Come join them in this activity, not only to bowl, but to fellowship and mingle around with the other youths and make new friends!

Here are some details:

Date: 13 March '11

Time: 12:30 - 4:30pm

Venue: Civil Service Club (but transport will be provided, and the meeting place is at LPPC)

Cost: Just a mere $2/pax!!

Please take note of the following:

1) Girls are to report at 12.30pm SHARP, with FULL GB UNIFORM in tip-top condition. (polished boots)
Sec one girls who need help in wearing the uniform please come earlier and get help from your senior in adjusting your uniform.

2) Guards , please report at 10am for practice in Mufti and NCO skirt. Lunch will be provided for you. Remember to bring your uniform!

Hi girls,

some of you have msged and asked me several things with regards to this Saturday's Drill Test and Guards Selection. I have told Janelle to placed an announcement on the GB board, so in case you have not read, please do take note of the following.

Drill Test for Stage 1 this Saturday . 2pm-330pm. Attendance will be compulsory for all who are taking the test. Lunch is on your own. When parade ends, you are free to go for lunch but please be back in school by 130 to change into your Full-Uniform and fall in by 2. Please polish your boots as there will be a uniform inspection.
Guards Selection for sec 3s and 4s will be held during parade this Saturday. Girls who are absent without valid reason will not be selected.

This is regarding Friday CCA booth.
Please be at concourse by 1.30pm in your Full Uniform.
Remember to have your lunch before you report.
There will be uniform inspection so please ensure your full uniform is in Tiptop condition and please remember to polish your boots!
We will set up our booth at 1.30pm.
You'll have to:
1) Move the tables and benches from the canteen to the concourse and arrange them
2)Bring the things needed from gb room down to concourse
3) Set up & decorate the booth
At 2pm, we will have roll call.
This will end around 5.30pm.
Girls not involved in campfire performance can choose to go home or stay if you want to.
Girls involved in campfire performance are to stay till the the puppet show is over and please remember to bring your puppets on Friday.
That's about all! Further instructions will be given on Friday itself.

Leaders please prep your girls to lead worship on each of the days in the mornings and the evenings. There will be a guitar on the trip that we can all use. (: Duty for each day are as follows (leaders to take note!) :

Just a reminder of this week schedule for girls going to Cambodia trip 2009 & girls training for drill stage one and three.

Tmr which is Tuesday, there will be drill stage one training from 9am to 12 pm and drill stage three training from 4pm to 6 pm.

On Wednesday, there will be a Social Justice + Empowerment Workshop (1) and planning + preparation of programme starting from 9 am for girls going to Cambodia.

On Saturday, there is Planning + Preparation for Programme and trial run for Programme for Group One for girls going to Cambodia, starting from 9am and Drill stage one training starting from 7am and drill stage three training in the afternoon after the pre-trip programme for Cambodia ends .

We thank God for each and everyone of you on the team - for your labor of love to God! We also thank God for His bountiful blessings. We always ask from Him, and he gives us MUCH MORE THAN WE EVER EXPECT! :D

Tribute to NDP girls - Huiting & Rachel

Now that the exams are finally over and so is the marking, I have time to post on the GBblog! :)

Well, last Friday, two of our Sergeants, SG Lee Huiting and SG Rachel Leong received their certificates of participation in NDP 2009. We want to applaud them for their effort and dedication. They made many friends from other companies during NDP, and have some fantastic stories to share about their march-past, which is a privilege that does not happen every year.

It truly is a privilege to be selected as the main contingent. :) Check out their photos below, taken by Miss Ng who was at the NE Show and eagerly awaiting to snap pictures of them. Miss Tan commented on how smart the girls were and how proud she was of our company and our girls being represented.

We look forward to the next batch of girls who are willing to take proud in NDP 2010 and do the 28th proud! The contingent is not large, and it is truly a great opportunity!

Drill Competition happened last Saturday. It brought us shock, it brought us many emotions and it brought to us many questions that were basically left unanswered. Perhaps the results very much very unexpected. Perhaps all these was not what we have all hope or expected for. But like what we always tell one another, its not the results that matters.

The past 3-4 months of commitment and service that many of us have rendered has been fruitful i would say. Well, it is for me i would say. I made closer friends, I built better relationships with the girls, and I've now also now seen myself with a greater passion for the girls in 28th coy. This Drill Competition in fact has given me more as compared to what I've received in the past years. Maybe its because this year I see the girls growing, bonding and most importantly, they learn the importance of having to togetherness. Drill is not about being an individual. Its not about having to just doing and mastering the art of it on the own. The most difficult part of it all, is to be able to see the mistakes of others, especially yourself, then correcting it and executing it altogether as a contingent.

This year has been eventful i would say. Maybe it is to teach us to not be complacent. To know and trust that God bless us in many other ways. In fact, I am sure and I know that God has already blessed us with girls and officers that have been so committed with 28th. This Drill Competition saw Jaselyn confidence rising as she led the girls through trainings, it saw her respect to and from the girls increasing. It saw the girls having the passion and desire to be able to work together as a contingent and it also saw the company coming together as ONE, cheering and rooting for their sisters in Christ. It saw the parents' understanding in the many tough trainings that their daughters went through despite their heavy workload in school. It saw us officers, learning and being what we have always instill in all girls, a servant leader.

This Drill Competition has taught us many values, and my only prayer is that the girls will be able to see it too.

girls, no matter the outcome, you've all made us very proud. my lovely fishballs, a job well done. (:

Please iron your uniform and only fold once.
Cut Nails and no accessories allowed
Coat your boots , label each of them , take out the shoe laces and put in shoe bag with kiwi and cloth.

Hey girls, this is just to update all of you that for girls not in the drill competition and for the sec ones, there will still be a meeting tomorrow (21 February).

It will start at 8.00 am and end at 11.30 am. Attire will be mufti, NCO skirt with shorts for sec 2s and above. For the sec ones, it will be No. 1 shirt, school skirt with shorts. Please bring your water bottle, Bible and stationery.

Also, there's this competition that involves the sec 2s, as well as me (Nadine) and Hian Yong. It's called Values Venture. Drill com girls start at 7am.
Gb girls are to wear mufti and nco / sch skirt.
Sec one girls interested to join us are to wear no.1 tee and school skirt.
